Attention Cable Operators ! Tough time ahead for you because at present HITS is tangled in the war between I&B and big HITS operator of India. Due to some unviable tariff plan & restriction on the use of infrastructure companies offering HITS services want to surrender their licences. The strategy of cable operators of India to compete with DTH operators by taking HITS signal to their headend does not seem to be taking shape. HITS would not only have helped them increase the penetration of cable market into rural areas where it has been absent because of unviability of resources, but also serve digital signal on a affordable prices including value added services to their subscribers.
