After dominating Indian Television Rating Points (TRPs) charts amongst all Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) week on week, Colors will now be foraying to the international markets as well. The channel is all set to launch in the US and the UK by the end of January 2010. The channel will be called ‘Aapka Colors’ in the US, while it will be called ‘Colors’ in the UK. Amitabh Bachchan will be the brand ambassador for both these markets. Bachchan’s past association with the channel was as the host of ‘Bigg Boss Season 3’.
The channel had recently roped in Abhishek Bachchan to host a game show called ‘National Bingo Night’. For the record, the channel topped the GEC charts in Week 2 with 289 TRPS, ahead of other GECs such as Sony and Zee TV.
