CABLE TV SHOW 2010 will be held on 6,7 & 8 January,2010 at Netaji Indoor Stadium, Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The organizers CABLE TV EQUIPMENTS TRADERS & MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION (CTMA) have been regularly holding such exhibitions since the last ten years. The cable TV industry is now on the threshold of digital revolution. DTH is already well entrenched on the digital platform and is pushing the analog based cable platform to now aggressively roll out the digital mode of delivery. A beginning has already been made through roll out of CAS in the notified areas and other areas are also slowly warming up to it.

The focus of the CABLE TV SHOW 2010 is to enable the cable TV industry to move forward in extending the digital roll out. All the major vendors from India and abroad will participate in this exhibition to display their optical and digital equipments and accessories. This will be the perfect opportunity for the cable TV operators to meet the top executives of the manufacturers and service providers with whom they can exchange their experience and get answers/solutions to their queries. This exhibition will also showcase the technology that is emerging in the near future and the direction in which the industry is moving so that the trade and the cable TV operators can prepare themselves to adapt the same in their business plans.

This year all the major MSOs operating from Kolkata are participating in a big way in this exhibition to showcase their distribution prowess and range of services. Major regional satellite channels are there to dwelt upon their programming and content. Along with the hardware industry, fiber optic and co-axial cable suppliers, software developers will also be participating. The broadcast equipment suppliers will be participating this year in a major way as the focus is increasing on the need of studio equipments to telecast local news, programs and channels. The regional/local language channels are being regularly launched and there is need for availability of good broadcast quality equipments.

Trade representatives and cable TV operators from all over Eastern and North-eastern India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal will be visiting the show in huge numbers. CTMA will also be organizing SEMINAR on 7 & 8 January, 2010 at the same venue to dwelt upon the impact of recent notification of TRAI on the cable TV sector.
