The Tamil general entertainment channel (GEC) space received a brand new channel from the house of Polimer Media Pvt Ltd., one of the largest multi-system operators (MSO) in Tamil Nadu. ‘Polimer TV’ was had a grand launch at Madras University Centenary Hall, Auditorium in Chennai on the evening of Sep. 23.
Well, this comes as a surprise for the people in the district of Salem, Tamil Nadu and nearby areas as the channel has been there for long. But incidentally, Polimer TV, earlier a channel by a cable operator, was launched via the satellite platform. The channel is tipped to be the first satellite television channel in the Indian nation to be launched by cable TV operators. P.V. Kalyanasundaram is the Chairman & Managing Director, Polimer Media. V Murali Raaman was ppointed as the CEO for the channel earlier this year.
