After launching free-to-use tools for start-ups through BizSpark programme,
Microsoft Corporation is set to launch WebsiteSpark with a view to helping Web designers and application developers. The programme, which was recently launched in the US, will be rolled out in India in the next few days. Microsoft would provide development tools, production licences for server products, technical support and business development support. While the BizSpark programme was aimed at startups with revenues of less than $1 million and less than three years in business, WebsiteSpark targets firms with 10 or fewer employees to let them focus on their core business.
Mr Walid Abu-Hadba, Corporate Vice- President (Developer and Platform Evangelism) of Microsoft Corporation, the BizSpark programme enrolled over 22,000 registrations across the globe, one-third of this was from India. India has a significant number of qualified graduates coming out of colleges.
