INX Media has announced that its founder and CEO, Ms Indrani Mukerjea, and Executive Chairman, Mr
Peter Mukerjea, have stepped down from their current management positions. While the CEO carries on in her position till the end of April, Mr Mukerjea will be stepping down end March. In a statement, the company said the two will continue to be shareholders of the company.
The board is also bringing in Mr Pradeep Guha, former CEO of Zee Entertainment, as a consultant. Mr Guha said it would be a short consultancy to help carry out “a due diligence on the way forward for the company”. In January, the company sold its news channel, NewsX to Indi Media, promoted by Mr Vinay Chhajlani. It still owns a music channel and a Hindi general entertainment channel.
